Take a tour of my new place!
As you all know, I recently moved in with Andrew, Gerald, and Hubert. It's a great place, and a great group of guys, and we are already having a lot of fun together. On Sunday, we went to Sears and bought what will soon prove to be the end of us: an electronic dartboard. My primary exposure to one of these things has been at Russell's place, but we've only used it in spurts there, so I figured it would be just a nice diversion every once in a while. Wrong! It's a freaking obsession! We've already played tons of cricket and 301/501 (and even 901), and while I started out as the most experienced and consistent, I've quickly been passed up by Andrew. He even beat me left-handed at 301 last night. :(
We're thinking that now we have enough events to host a four-leg tournament of champions that includes Hearts, Darts, Hold 'Em, and Game Cube. One tournament per weekend, four weekends a month. The Grand Slam! Who's in?
I thought I was a pretty serious night owl, but these guys are teaching me what that truly means. It's not unusual for me to stay up until 2am, but that still puts me first in bed, easily. This Friday I didn't call it a night until 3am, and I was the first asleep by almost 3 hours! My kind of place.
I ended up getting the house's master bedroom (which is a good thing because of how much stuff I have), and I love everything about it. Want to check it out? wow that is seriously impressive. its like a virtual tour of a hotel or smthg!!
you should make it a 'choose your own adventure'...i.e. you can have a monster jump out at the viewer from the closet, and the viewer can either choose from your dresser a) a knife, b) a gun, or c) your jelly belly dispenser to kill it.
Haha, that's a great idea, Ruth! Love the tour! I can't wait to see it. After having had our own space for a year, it's hard to imagine both of us living in the same small room at Avalon! Glad to see that you found good places for MY stuffed animals :)
That is a freakishly complete tour. I'm impressed and slightly appalled. I like Ruth's idea for some additional excitement. Where is the camera hiding in the mirror picture, anyway?
The Grand Slam sounds fun, although I would be a complete flop on the game cube :)
Okay, that tour is straight-up ridiculous. Could it be any cleaner? Looks like we won't need a tour when we visit your place for the first time. Yeah, what's in that closet anyway?

So let's see, full-motion 360-degree tour with monsters, weapons, choose your own adventure, additional excitement...anything else? :) I'll try to incorporate your feedback and send out an update.
The first mirror pic I took, I was holding the camera, but I didn't like it, so I set the camera up on a timer, and it had to be done at an angle, obviously, so it took a few tries to get it right. :)
don't forget the virtual strippers.
Jeremy suggested having a click on my bed lead to a porn site, which I thought was brilliant, but I'm keeping this PG-13. :)
dude, i told you you should have used quicktime VR. thats why i dont release my stuff until it's completely done. if only i didnt give up on my projects before they were done.

yes! then hubert will have incentive to REALLY clean up his room and make his bed!! :)
It's merely a snapshot in time, so we can easily clean up his room, snap some shots, then let it deteriorate again, and you'd never be the wiser. :)
